Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the KeyStack platform. By creating an account you agree to them. We've tried to write them like a human.

The service

KeyStack provides a license-key management platform. We let you generate, validate, freeze, revoke and extend license keys for software products you sell, via a dashboard and a public REST API.

Your account

• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• Keep your password and API keys safe. Notify us immediately if you suspect a compromise.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use KeyStack to:

• Send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Distribute malware or facilitate illegal activity.
• Resell raw KeyStack API access to third parties without a written agreement.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the platform.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Subscription & billing

• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Fees are charged in advance, in USD, via Stripe.
• Refunds are at our discretion. We'll try to be fair.
• Plan limits are documented on the pricing page. Going over a limit will trigger an upgrade nudge, not a service outage.

Data ownership

• You own your data. We claim no rights to your license keys, customers or content.
• You grant us a limited license to process your data only as necessary to operate the service.
• You can export or delete your data at any time.

Service availability

• We aim for 99.9% (Pro) / 99.99% (Business) uptime as measured monthly.
• If we breach the SLA you can request a service credit.
• Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance and does not count against the SLA.

Termination

• You can cancel at any time. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation.
• We may terminate your account for material breaches with 30 days' written notice.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll email you and update the date at the top of this page. Material changes get at least 30 days' notice.
